SDFC is proud to announce that it has been invited to become a Core Club in the Eastern Development Program (EDP). The Core Clubs are the driving force for EDP programming. While our teams compete with others intensely, the clubs have many values in common and work together to help promote competition and activities that serve our needs in developing outstanding soccer players....

SDFC Proudly hosted its inaugural awards dinners over the last two weeks.

Kicking off with the junior dinner the U8-U10 SDFC teams enjoyed a night of awards and fun at Victors Chateau in Little Falls. Guest speaker Tony Williams, Director of Development for MSSL EDP, captivated the players with his clever audience participation speech.

At the fourth annual New Jersey Indoor State Cup, Presidents' Day Weekend (in Randolph), SDFC enjoyed new and repeated success with its club teams.

On the girls side, the Gu11 Samba (coached by Mark Gillon) improved on last years showing with a semi-final placing - losing narrowly to a physical NJX.  The girls will get an opportunity to exact in future tournament and league play.  Coach Gillon was pleased with the competitiveness of the girls and their desire to possess the ball.  The Gu9 Galaxy fell short of a championship, losing out to a quality World Class team in the final.....
