National Signing Day

National signing day for student athletes moving on to college next year

This past week was an exciting one for the SDFC community, as some of our most senior players committed to the colleges of their choice by signing their National Letters of Intent. The SDFC Lynx (coached by Ed Duddy & ), the clubs most senior girls team at U18, had several players make their final commitments.

Team Captains Joanna Scotti and Claire Malone confirmed their attendance at Lafayette and Holy Cross respectively. 'Keeper, Brooke Holle will also attend Holy Cross, whereas strikers Mackenzie Cowley and Emma Coccia signed theirs to attend George Washington and Dusquene respectively.

Midfielders Katie O'Neill (Binghamton) and Clara Scher (Lehigh) also committed, while defender Tara Sobierajski declared her intention to play at Siena College.

Goalkeeper, Tori Gonzalez will head to UMass Amherst to play, making 9 players from the Lynx signing their NLI letters.

Following on from Maya Pitts (Syracuse) and Kara Maguire(Iona) who left for college last year, the SDFC Lynx college recruitment process has been a huge success.

We wish the girls all the best of luck at their schools of choice and a bright future in college soccer!
